1st STEP -- Rehearse your audition song. Choose a song to sing from a Broadway musical. You will be asked to sing a portion of the song. Rehearse every day!
Also, attend the Annual UpStage Players Theatre Workshop (highly recommended). This workshop is held every December at our performance venue, the Cleveland Public Library Nottingham Branch, located at 17109 Lakeshore Blvd in the Collinwood area.
2nd STEP -- Attend open Auditions (mandatory) in early January (date to be determined) at the Cleveland Public Library located at 17109 Lakeshore Blvd.
3rd STEP -- Fill out all necessary forms and read through the UpStage Policies..
4th STEP -- Get Your Role! Once you receive your role, get the rehearsal schedule and put the dates on your calendar. Read through the Costume List to see what pieces you will need for your costume.
5th STEP -- Attend practice sessions and practice every day at home for at least 10 minutes (trust us, it really helps!),
Before you know it, it will be SHOW TIME!
